We intend to equip our pupils with the life skills they need to be able to flourish in the real world and promote a love of maths. We aim to ensure that our children have a rich and meaningful mathematics education. 

At SWINS we understand the importance of automaticity and fluency within maths and teach through real life contexts to enable our pupils to apply their understanding, reasoning and problem solving skills in maths and across subjects and the wider curriculum. 

We believe in a language rich environment and our pupils leave us with the confidence and ‘can do’ attitude. We aim for all our children to become resilient, independent learners with inquisitive minds who have secure mathematical foundations and a desire to continue their mathematical learning journey.
